The Festival is a popular annual event that takes place in Knowle Park in the village of Knowle (just south of Solihull in the West Midlands).

Since 2004 the Festival has been run by Friends of Knowle Park, a small charity created to support the local park, with support from our local council - Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council.
Proceeds from the event a
re used to support improvements in the park.

The 2010 event took place on 19th June & was a great success !
The Mayor of Solihull, Councillor Ian Courts, kindly opened this years event.
We had sunny weather most of the day & many of the organising team had red faces in the evening & following days !

Thousands of local residents & guests visited during the day.
Almost £4,000 was raised towards further improvements in the Park.
Last year's proceeds went towards the park Play Area upgrades that occurred at the end of 2009 & which have been well used since !.

Many of the other local charities attending also did very well for their own special causes & other stalls all appeared busy most of the time.

Thanks to the Lady Katherine Leveson Foundation for a well run & used tea tent & the Lady Katherine Leveson School for the Barbecue.

New arena acts this year were Belly Dance Elements & Quackers duck herding (we're still not sure if the mass duck escape was part of the act or not !)

Significant thanks go to the following for their donations in 2010 :

Knowle & Dorridge Lions, Standley & Co. Solicitors, Crown Cars (Taxis), Jackson Ford of Henley, Spire Healthcare.
Special thanks also to Solihull Council (SMBC) for their support for the event.
